WOB - October 6

Good evening students and families!

Below is the WOB for this week.  As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Supply Donations:  With cold season upon us, the Music Department is in need of some boxes of tissues & hand sanitizer!  If you are able and willing, a donated box of tissues or bottle of hand sanitizer for our classrooms would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Have any Instrument Issues?  As a reminder ... if you rent from Music & Arts or Zeswitz, we can take care of any issues right here in school!  Both companies send representatives to GVMS each week, and we can take care of any repairs, switching instrument sizes, etc. through those reps.  As always, please let me know if you have any questions about renting/repairing/purchasing instruments or supplies!

Orchestra Gear:  In each Course Description, you'll find a list of recommended "Orchestra Gear" for students.  This list is not, by any means, a requirement ... but the items listed are what I consider to be "most important" gear for students to be successful.  If you have any questions about what to buy, where to buy it, or what brands may be best, please feel free to reach out!

Private Lessons:  All middle school students should seriously consider taking private lessons outside of school.  The benefits of private study can be seen in school orchestra/lessons, as well as in improved responsibility, time management, and love for music!  I have a list of local private teachers that I would be happy to share with anyone who is interested.  Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions!

Orchestra Schedule:  The Orchestra schedule for this week is as follows ......

   Monday (Day 4): Chamber Orchestra
Tuesday (Day 5): String Tech (6/7/8) & String Orchestra
   Wednesday: No School
Thursday (Day 6): String Tech (6/7/8) & String Orchestra
   Friday (Day 1): Symphonic Orchestra

Have a great week!

Best,
Mr. Cellini
