Elementary students in Great Valley engage in inquiry-based science units. Teachers guide students to explore our natural world through their own inquiries and investigations, by constructing ideas, and by analyzing information.
The curriculum was designed in a K-12 process and was created to support students in learning the age-appropriate scientific concepts and process skills. The curriculum is designed and referenced to both state and national standards, best instructional practices, and 21st Century Skills. All areas of the science standards (biological, earth and space, physical) are addressed.
