GVSD Athletic Fields

  • GVMS Athletic Field Locations 

    Fall (updated 2.20.20)

    FOOTBALL
    Games: Both 7th and 8th grade teams will play at the high school stadium.

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on field space on each side of the classroom wing of the middle school.

    BOYS SOCCER (seventh and eighth)
    Games: Games will be played on Field 9, to the left of the school's classroom wing.

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on the Field 9, to the left of the school's classroom wing. 

    GIRLS SOCCER (seventh and eighth)
    Games: Soccer games will be played on Field 8, to the left of the school's classroom wing.

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on Field 8, to the left of the school's classroom wing.

    FIELD HOCKEY (seventh and eighth)
    Games: Hockey games will be played on Field 2, to the right of the football stadium, or on Field 12 in front of the school.

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on Field 2, to the right of the football stadium, or on Field 12 in front of the school.

    Girls Basketball

    All Games and Practices are held in the Middle School Gym

    Wrestling
    Practices are held in the Middle School Adaptive Gym
    Meets are held in the Middle School Gym

    Boys Basketball

    Tryouts and Practices: Tryouts and practices (up to the conclusion of Girls Basketball Schedule) are held at General Wayne Elementary School. Students are bussed to GWES at 3:05. Parent pickup at GWES.

    At conclusion of Girls Basketball schedule all practices are held at Middle School Gym
    Games: All games are held at Middle School Gym

    BOYS LACROSSE

    Games: Games will be held on  field 6 at the middle school

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on  field 6 at the middle school

    GIRLS LACROSSE (seventh and eighth)
    Games: Games will be held on field  4at the middle school

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on field 4  at the middle school

    BASEBALL (seventh and eighth)
    Games: 8th grade and 7th grade @ Great Valley Little League Field, 1300 West King Rd, Malvern
    Practices: 8th grade and  7th grade  @ Great Valley Little League Field, 1300 West King Rd, Malvern
                  

    SOFTBALL (seventh and eighth)
    Games:8th grade and 7th grade will be held on field 11 at the middle school
    Practices: 8th grade and 7th grade will be held on field 11 at the middle school

    TRACK (seventh and eighth)
    Games: Great Valley High School Stadium

    Practices: Daily practices will be held on & around field 7 at the rear of themiddle school

    Directions from West:

    Great Valley Middle School: 255 N. Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, 610.644.6440. Follow US-30 E (Downingtown/Coatesville By-pass) to Frazer business 30 exit (left exit). Turn right onto Business 30 E and follow to Planebrook Rd. (Wawa on left). Turn left onto Planebrook Rd. Continue on Planebrook Rd/Phoenixville Pike, cross over Conestoga Rd/ PA-401. The second entrance on the right is the middle school. 

    Baseball Games played on Great Valley Little League Field, 1300 West King Road, Malvern. 
    Follow US-30 E (Downingtown/Coatesville by-pass) to Frazer business 30 exit (left exit). Turn right onto Business 30 E and follow to traffic light at South Phoenixville Pike and turn right (past the Home Depot). Follow S. Phoenixville Pike to King Road. Turn left on King Road travel about 1 mile. GVLL Field is on the right.

    Directions from South:

    Great Valley Middle School: 255 N. Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, 610.644.6440. Follow 202 N (toward West Chester) to the Frazer business 30 exit (left exit). Turn right onto Business 30 E and follow to Planebrook Rd. (Wawa on left). Turn left onto Planebrook Rd. Continue on Planebrook Rd/Phoenixville Pike, cross over Conestoga Rd/ PA-401. The second entrance on the right is the middle school.
