Ms. Mack
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am looking forward to a great year!
I am one of the emotional support teachers for the high school, along with Mr Fischer. We are in room 133, and at least one of us will be in the room throughout the day to support students on our caseloads with any emotional or academic needs. I encourage open communication between teachers, parents, and students to best support success in high school and beyond.
Background: I graduated from Upper Darby High School, and attended Millersville University. I graduated from Millersville with a dual major in Special Education and Elementary Education, and was a member of the university honors college. I hold certifications in Special Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Mathematics, and Secondary English. I completed my master's degree from Arcadia University in Education with a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, and am a BCBA (board certified behavior analyst). My career at Great Valley began in the spring semester of the 2011-2012 school year as a long term substitute at General Wayne Elementary in primary learning support. During the 2012-2013 school year, I was a long term substitute at the high school in learning support mathematics, and a per diem substitute throughout the district. I became a part-time contracted teacher in the 2013-2014 school year in the high school emotional support department. I look forward to continuing to work in emotional support and continue to improve the program.
