Ms. Jones

I have been teaching biology at Great Valley High School for 20 years.  Originally from central Pennsylvania, I completed my BSEd in Biology at West Chester University, an experience that culminated as a student teacher right here at GV! After teaching middle school science in Maryland for 3 years, I returned to WCU as a full time student to finish my graduate work. I am fortunate to have had a mentor that fostered my love for learning, teaching, and research that resulted in several peer-reviewed publications and ultimately my return to the classroom here at GV. Since then, I have focused my energy not only in the classroom, but in athletics as a coach for the cross country and track and field teams for the past 17 years. 

I am proud to teach and coach at GV and am looking forward to exploring biology and environmental science with all of you this year!
