Clubs and Activities
Our schools are rich in learning, service and extracurricular opportunities for our students. We encourage our students to be active participants in their own learning and strive to instill in them a lifelong love of learning and dedication to their community.
This is a project for 4th and 5th grade students. Students will design a project questions to research and work on from November through March. There will be a school wide science fair and the top 10 projects will advance to the Chester County Science Fair.
This is a program for 1st through 5th graders. Students will come in before school one day a week to study animals, plants and environmental safety. Students will have an opportunity to go on a trip to Hibernia Park in the Spring to compete in the Envirothon, a science competition for many schools in the area.
Fourth and fifth grade students who come together to read books, meet monthly and compete in teh Chester County Intermediate Unit's Reading Olympics in April.
An organization for 3rd through 5th grade, with each grade having two representatives.
School Store Club
A school store maganged and maintained by 4th and 5th grade students.
Extra! Extra! Read All About It!!!A newpaper that is written, edited and run by students. The club meets every Thursday afterschool in the library.
Fifth grade students video tape events throughout the school year. The students also produce a program that airs on GVTV.
A parent and child book club that meets monthly in the evenings to discuss an assigned book. The acitvites include talks, games, snacks and prizes.
The service club focuses on serving the GWES community by completing a variety of service activities.
