Communications

Great Valley School District uses ParentSquare as our primary platform for school communication. Families receive messages through email, app, voice, or text, helping everyone stay informed and involved.

An account is automatically created for each parent or guardian using the contact information in our student information system. We encourage you to activate your account to download the free mobile app, set your language preferences, and choose how and when you’d like to receive messages. Learn more about ParentSquare here.

The Communications Department oversees the Great Valley School District Facebook page and LinkedIn page. 

The Communications Department creates videos to keep our community informed about district initiatives, event highlights, and important updates. Our team handles all aspects of production, filming, and editing, with all videos available on our YouTube channel.

The Annual Report to the community is published each fall and showcases the progress of the District over the past year. Read the report to learn about districtwide initiatives, major milestones, and student and staff achievements. Find the report here. 

The HEART (Honoring Excellence, Achievement, Resilience, and Teamwork) Award is an employee recognition program to honor staff who go above and beyond for our students and community. Any member of the community can nominate any GVSD staff member, including teachers, bus drivers, custodians, principals, cafeteria staff, aides, and more. 

Nominations are welcome year-round and winners are chosen monthly. Nominate a GVSD staff member today!

Each year, in partnership with local churches, the Adopt-A-Family program assists families with food, clothing, and gifts during the holiday season (winter and spring). Items donated by church and community members are distributed confidentially over the holiday season and are available to students currently enrolled in our schools.

The Great Valley School District partners annually with community organizations and professionals to bring learning opportunities to our community. These events focus on both the physical and mental well-being of the community and, specifically, our students. All events are free to the public, but registration in advance is required.
