Child Development Lab Preschool at GVHS
The Child Development Lab preschool at Great Valley High School is taught by a Great Valley High School Family and Consumer Science (FCS) teacher. Great Valley High School students are also in the classroom and earn high school credit for their participation. Under the supervision of the FCS teacher, high school students enrolled in Child Development classes help to implement age-appropriate learning activities for our pre-school participants. The Child Development Lab preschool offers our young learners a safe, interactive environment where age-appropriate social skills, cooperation, and teamwork skills are developed. The Great Valley Child Development preschool laboratory program provides an educational experience consistent with the Pennsylvania guidelines for child development laboratory programs.
Registration opens annually in April.
Registration for the 25-26 Great Valley High School Child Development Lab Preschool is now open. Registration will be live from Tuesday, April 22nd to Tuesday, May 13th. In order to be eligible for the Child Development Lab Pre-School, students must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2025. Students also must be toilet trained and live in the Great Valley School District. There is no transportation available for the program.
Enrollment is limited to 10 students. The Pre-K program takes place Tuesdays through Thursdays from October through May. If more than 10 families register, a lottery will be conducted to select participants. Any students not accepted will be placed on a waitlist.
