We celebrate birthdays in the Kindergarten Kingdom in a BIG WAY!!!
Each and every Kindergartener will have the opportunity to celebrate her/his birthday with classmates. We make quite a big deal about honoring such a special day by: having the child be "Birthday Royalty" (trust me, this is a HUGE highlight of the day!), singing Happy Birthday, wearing birthday crowns, sunglasses, pins, receiving a birthday certificate and pencil AND getting to have the Royal Red Rug under their classroom chair (to indicate that the Birthday child will receive Royal Red Carpet Treatment all day!) Finally, the Birthday Boy/Girl is encouraged to bring in his/her favorite book to have read aloud for our daily story time! If you have any questions about birthdays, please feel free to email me!
