• Meet Mrs. Gleason

My name is Mrs. Jen Gleason and WELCOME!  I've been teaching at Charlestown Elementary in the Great Valley School District for sixteen years. I've worked as a fourth grade teacher for eleven years. My experience also includes teaching fifth and third grades. I hold a number of certifications in the field of education. I completed my undergraduate work in Elementary Education at Millersville University. Shortly thereafter, I obtained a Master’s Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Science from Penn State University. A few years later, I became certified in Middle School Math and Science content areas.

Your child’s experience with me is very important. I aim to model and support a learning environment that encourages academic and social / emotional growth.  I think this can best be achieved by setting and revising goals, along with building relationships to promote lifelong learning.  I have a solid educational foundation and will work tirelessly to achieve this goal. In addition, I will challenge your child to uphold the Pillars of Character. This includes all students being Responsible, Respectful, Caring, Fair, Trustworthy and a good Citizen. I strongly believe a child’s character, academic interest and achievements and relationships will positively influence the school, local, and global society.

In addition to teaching, I have four wonderful children. Their ages range from 8, 6, 4, and almost 2! We love spending time as a family reading, running, playing, and watching movies.

Having a partnership is important in maximizing the success of your child. With that said, I look forward to building a relationship with each family this year.
