• Homework Expectations

    Reading Homework: Each night, students will read for 20 minutes. As the year progresses, students will move into 30 minutes per evening. Homework may include finishing Post-its, Reader's Responses, and Book Snaps. 

     
    Word Study: Student groups will work on rotating schedules to receive new Word Study lists. Homework will consist of studying for the post-test that will take place at the end of each rotation. Activities will take place in class for additional practice. 
     
    Math Homework: Homework may consist of a problem, DreamBox, Seesaw task, or studying, Monday through Thursday. 
     
    Science and Social Studies: There will not be nightly science and social studies homework assignments, but students will have occasional tests and quizzes to prepare for and projects to work on.
