    MIDTERM
    Here you will find information regarding your midterm.  This includes resources to use to study as well as what materials to prepare. 
    • Practice Prompt and Rubric
    • Checklist of things to include and/or do to be successful
    • Preparation Notes - These notes apply to any literature exam, not just this one. 
    • Sample Responses- This includes what TO do and what NOT to do.  While not illustrating the position these students took, these samples do illustrate the expected level of detail within responses. 
    You have an hour and a half to craft responses to TWO prompts.  You will need to budget your time well.  It would be beneficial to try this ahead of time so you understand how quickly the time will pass.  In the next week or so, designate 45 minutes to go through this practice prompt and hold yourself to it.  Then, if you have struggles, see me to discuss strategies.
     
    Remember, the midterm IS NOT meant to demonstrate you've read the books.  Instead, it is to demonstrate your ability to create and defend a position.
     
    Finally, the midterm is worth 10% of your overall grade for the year.  Diligent and careful scholarship is expected and required.

    FINAL
