Volunteers in Our Schools
-
The Great Valley public schools value and encourage our parents and community members to volunteer in our schools. There are many volunteer opportunities available through the school, classroom teacher, PTO, or the Senior Citizens' Service Tax Rebate Program. This section of our web site shares important information about clearance requirements for volunteers. Information is also available about our Senior Citizens' Service Tax Rebate Program, a special program for senior members of our community who may be interested in earning tax relief for their volunteer hours.
Please use the links to the left to learn more. And again, thank you for your interest and involvement in Great Valley schools!
Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer positions in the school district are as numerous and varied as the diverse tasks we perform in educating our students. In addition to meeting differing needs at each building, volunteer roles also depend on your personal interest, background and expertise. The listing below represents only some of the many possibilities you may want to consider as a School-Community Volunteer. Administrators and teachers will be able to offer other roles as needs arise. Your suggestions will also be welcome.
Typical volunteer options may be categorized as (1) Classroom (2) Clerical or (3) General Support. While many are the same at either elementary or secondary levels, some are appropriate to specific grades or schools.
