7th Grade Art

Clay Vessels At the beginning of seventh grade we study the art of the Mayans.We will design our own clay vessels and learn the slab building technique. Pacing: We will be working on this project for two weeks.	Mayan Drinking cup, 593-830

Bedroom in Arles, Van Gogh, Vincent, 1888, Oil on Canvas	One Point Perspective and the Art Work of VanGogh We also learn about one point perspective and will be designing our ideal bedroom. We will study VanGogh and learn about his painting Bedroom in Arles. Pacing: We will be working on this for two and half weeks.

Pop Art Painting We will study Pop Art and Andy Warhol. We will select our own commercial label to enlarge and paint in the pop art style. Pacing: We will be working on this for two and half weeks.

Three Musicians, Pablo Picasso, 1921	Cubism We will learn about the abstract style, Cubism, invented by Picasso and create our own mixed media piece of art work. Pacing: We will be working on this for two weeks.

Notes Students will be drawing rough drafts, taking notes, and answering questions throughout all the studio projects.
