Hello and welcome to all of my music students! I graduated from West Chester University in 1992 and have been teaching music here in Great Valley ever since. 30 years...whew! At GVMS I direct the Generals Band, Blue & White Band, Jazz Band, Holiday Winds, Pep Band, Parade Band and I also teach 6th, 7th & 8th grade general music classes. In addition to teaching music, I enjoy playing trombone with various ensembles and bands in and around the Philadelphia area including the West Chester Community Band, Immaculata Symphony Orchestra and Chester County Pops Orchestra. In activities outside of the music department I'm an assistant coach for both the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, I enjoy DJ'ing our school dances, co-sponsoring the Great Valley Ski & Snowboard Club, and helping with the 7th Grade Henlopen Outdoor Education Program.
On a personal "note" (...no pun intended) my wife, Ann Search, teaches math on team 8A, coaches 7th grade girls Field Hockey & LAX, sponsors the NJHS and together we run the GV Ski & Snowboard Club. We're also the proud parents of four Great Valley Alumni.
