FIRST GRADE

Landscape Paintings

Students learn about the parts of a landscape. Landscapes have a foreground, middle ground and background.

Students create a landscape using warm watercolors and cool watercolors. They will also learn about different brush techniques.

STILL LIFE

Students create a still life picture based on the work by Paul Cezzane.

PORTRAITS

Students learn about portraits & the proper placement and proportion of features of the face to create a self-portrait.

Students create a cut paper portrait collage and a clay sculpture!

Nature Inspirations:

Students work on creating a nature inspired piece.

Then, they focus on adding detail to their image to make it a finished piece.
