Great Valley School District's Elementary Guidance Curriculum

  • Each classroom receives approximately 5 classroom counseling lessons each year. Each classroom receives a lesson focused on learning the role of their School Counselor. The lessons focus on learning and enhancing basic life skills including, but not limited to, topics related to bullying/harassment/respect, social skills, recognition of and appropriate expression of feelings, friendship skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills, positive thinking/persevering/self-esteem, stress management skills, personal safety, appreciating differences and diversity, decision making and career development.
