District-Wide Read Alouds Celebrate and Honor Diverse Voices (April 2021)

Throughout the spring, the District will continue district-wide read alouds of books written by authors of diverse backgrounds. This effort began as a celebration of Black History Month, but will continue for the remainder of the year in support of the goals of the Council for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI). The read alouds further efforts to ensure that schools are inclusive, and that they hear, honor and celebrate the diverse voices of students, families, and staff.
