All students enrolled in Kindergarten in Great Valley School District have the opportunity to experience a full day kindergarten program.  Grounded in a play-based philosophy for early childhood education, students experience diverse opportunities to explore and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  Students discover content in literacy, math, science, and social studies in a supportive learning environment differentiated to meet the needs of the individual child.  In addition to core subjects, students visit special area classrooms including art, music, physical education, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) for 45 minutes per day.  These classes help foster an appreciation for student strengths and talents across multiple areas and support the development and growth of the whole child.  Our full-day kindergarten program is focused on digging deeper into content to create meaning and connections for students.
