Birthdays!
On a child's birthday or half-birthday we will celebrate as a group in school! As a class, we interview the child and learn about their favorite things and each student makes a page dedicated to the birthday child. This is then turned into a small book for them to take home and share with their family.
Another tradition is inviting the birthday child's family member to come in and read a short book to the class. Another option is to send the book in and either the birthday child can read it to the class or I would also be happy to.
. Please email me prior to your child’s birthday about a time you would like to come in and read if you choose to.
Due to school policy, food is not allowed to be shared for birthdays.
