Hello Parents and Students:      

   I am elated to a part of the KD Markley Community and the Great Valley School District.  I have been an educator for 14 years, and this is my third year teaching 3rd grade. The first two years, I taught 3rd grade in Maryland County School System and this will be first year returning to teach 3rd grade. I am so excited to be working with these amazing kids!

I earned my Masters Degree from Cabrini College in Elementary Education with a focus in Reading and a certificate as a Reading Specialist. I received my undergraduate degree from Lock Haven University. I am continuing my education currently at Immaculata University. 

Background Information about me.... 

    I grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, not too far from Pittsburgh. It's a small, rural town but one that I still think of as home.  Shortly after graduating from college, I moved to Maryland where I taught two years in Washington County. Later on, I moved to West Chester and married my husband, Joe. Together we have two wonderful, energetic boys.  I am learning so much from my children and what it means to be a supportive, caring parent and a teacher. I love being outside with my family, hiking, being near the water (beach or a lake) and creating new experiences. My hope is find ways to give back and show my own children the importance of giving back to others.
