  • CAC Report: November 8, 2017

    The CAC met on November 8, 2017, to plan its presentation to the School Board. At the Board's Work Session on November 13, the CAC will present its recommendation for changes to elementary boundaries. The report will review the committee's work and the data it used to develop its recommendation.

  • CAC Report: October 11, 2017

    The CAC met on October 11, 2017. Committee members shared additional feedback they received from parents since the last meeting. Additional discussion ensued about current and planned development throughout the district and that development’s potential impact on our elementary schools. The committee reaffirmed its goal of making changes that will impact the least amount of neighborhoods as possible. It also examined a number of neighborhoods that would yield moves to reduce enrollment at KD Markley Elementary School. A subcommittee of members was formed. This subcommittee will make a presentation to the School Board on November 13, 2017, at which time it will make a recommendation for boundary realignment for the Board’s consideration.

  • CAC Report: September 13, 2017

    The CAC met on September 13, 2017. Committee members shared the feedback they received over the summer from parents in the community and reviewed current and projected enrollment numbers. A discussion ensued about current and planned development throughout the district and their potential impact on our elementary schools. After careful consideration, the committee set a goal of making changes that will impact the least amount of neighborhoods as possible. It will reconvene in October and hopes to make a recommendation to the School Board in November. In the meantime, committee members will continue to solicit input and feedback from the community.

  • CAC Report: June 8, 2017

    The initial meeting of the CAC was held on June 8, 2017. The District reviewed elementary enrollment data with the committee who also reviewed the current elementary building usage reports.
