Mrs. Carly Machamer
I am very excited about being at KDM for my ninth year. The 2022-2023 school year will be my sixth year teaching second grade. I taught fourth grade at KDM for 3 years and also taught fourth grade at St. Philip Neri School in Lafayette Hill for 5 years prior to my time here.
I am married and have 4 children, Claire (7), Henry and Will (5, twins!) and Thomas (2). I grew up in Audubon, PA and currently live in Phoenixville. I received my Graduate and Undergraduate degrees from The University of Scranton. In my free time, I love to play volleyball, read, travel, and spend time with my family and friends.
In my classroom, I strive to create an environment that is safe for all students, one that excites my students and motivates them to learn, and allows them to feel comfortable taking risks. I promote a community of learners who support and encourage each other, treat themselves and others with respect, and practice responsibility, cooperation, and independence.
