Award of Excellence in School Facilities

The Great Valley School District Buildings and Grounds Department is a proud recipient of the 2020 Award of Excellence in School Facilities presented by the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO). The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding operations in facility management, encourage best practices that result in efficiencies in K-12 non-instructional administration, and share knowledge to improve personnel skills. The certificate of award covers three years. GVSD received this honor previously in 2010, the inaugural year of the award, 2013, 2016, and 2020. Applicants are to meet specific criteria based on seven areas of management:

Grounds Management

Housekeeping

Staff Management

Environmental Safety

Benchmarking and Data Management
