GVSD Virtual Desktop
GVSD students will now be able to access their school resources from a home computer or laptop using the District's Virtual Desktop program. Virtual Desktop allows students to access their student files and programs even when they are not in a GVSD school building.
In order to use Virtual Desktop from home, students will need to install the Virtual Desktop software on their home computer/laptop or iPAD. Go to the GVSD VIRTUAL DESKTOP INSTRUCTIONS page for installation instructions. (Note: you must logon to the GVSD website to view the Virtual Desktop Installation Instructions. Use your school computer logon and password. See your teacher if you need help.)
**Microsoft Surface with Windows RT does not currently work with the Virtual Desktop. This is an issue with VMWare software and Windows RT.
Once you have installed the Virtual Desktop software you can use the VMWare View Client icon on your desktop to access your school network resources from outsite the District.
