GVMUNC 2019-2020 Information PageThanks for your interest in the Great Valley Model United Nations Club for the 2019-2020 School Year!We will be participating in 5 different conferences this year. Each conference will be capped at approximately 40 participants (except for PHILMUN).The conferences are as follows:1. Pennsylvania High School Model United Nations Conference (PHUNC) November 8-10, 2019 - State College, PAThis conference will be open to all members. Held at Penn State University, it is our first fall conference. Additionally, it is an ALL CRISIS conference, giving students an opportunity to participate in this type of committee. Cost should be approximately $275-$300 - depending on transportation costs. If we exceed the maximum number of 40, students will be selected according to the total number of conferences attended and grade.The Permission Slip can be found outside Room 147.A link to PHUNC is HERE.2. Rutgers University Model United Nations Conference (RUMUN) December 5-8, 2019 - East Brunswick, NJThis conference is run by the same organization that runs PHILMUN with whom we have a long history. This is a medium sized conference and is a great experience for boht new and returning members. It is highly recommended to help hone your skills in writing and developing working papers and resolutions. Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC) January 30-February 2, 2020 - Philadelphia, PAWe will be returning to ILMUNC, one of the largest conferences in the country. The conference itself takes place in the Philadelphia Convention Center and is extremely competitive. This is reserved for our most experienced delegates because of this. North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) February 13-16, 2020 - Washington, DCGeorgetown University hosts the North American Invitational Model United Nations in Washington, DC and we will be attending for our fourth time. This conference will be open to ONLY returning members due to its size (over 3,500 delegates). Philadelphia Model United Nations Conference (PhilMUN) February 27-March 1, 2020 - Philadelphia, PAWe will be attending this conference and hoping to repeat as Outstanding Large Delegation - one of the highest award given in Model UN! This conference is be open to all students and all new members are encouraged to attend.
