All About Miss Gorr
Here is a little about me....
I LOVE the Beach! It is my favorite place in the world to be (other than school of course!). I love to feel the water and sand between my toes! I wasn't able to visit the beach this summer but I was able spend time at my family Lake House.
There are 7 people in my family! Here is a picture of all of them! There is my mom, my dad, my brothers Michael and Andrew, and my sisters Rachel and Jessica...and me! We took this picture at the beach! Michael is in the Marine Core and is stationed at Twentynine Palms in California. Andrew is in med school at PCOM. He is there in an Army scholarship and is learning how to be a doctor! Rachel and Jessica are in college at West Chester University. Jessica is a soccer and lacrosse goalie and Rachel loves to sing and act!
I have two dogs. Bailey is my three year old golden retriever. She loves to play and go on long walks. Her favorite thing to do is play fetch. We love to cuddle with her! Chloe is my 1 year old rescue. She is full of energy and loves to play!
At my house there are 3 cats! They are all different types of cats. They all have soft fur and are very friendly!
I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2013 with a degree in Early Childhood Education PK-4. While at Bloomsburg, I was a member of the honors program where I was able to complete a research project surrounding the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. It was a fantastic experience! After graduation, I started teaching at KDM in Kindergarten! I spent 8 years teaching in Kindergarten. This year I transitioned to a new role as one of KDM's reading specialists. I am excited for this new role. I am so happy to be a part of Great Valley! I have a Master's degree in Special Education with an Autism Endorsement as well as a Master's degree in Literacy with a Reading Specialist Certification from West Chester University. This winter I will graduate with a masters in Educational Leadership with a Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor Certification. I am so excited!
