  • Information for incoming 6th grade students for the 2023 -2024 school year

    We look forward to welcoming our incoming 6th grade students and families to Great Valley Middle School. For those in attendance and for those who may not have had the chance to attend our orientation, please access our presentation slide deck and FAQs to review the salient points shared during the orientation. In addition to this information, any family who has questions about the transition to 6th grade that were not answered during the orientation and or in the resources provided should contact Dr. Souders at 610-644-6440 or via email at esouders@gvsd.org.

  • 6th grade students demonstrate RVR+ robots

    On Friday, May 12, 2023, several students from Ms. DeMitis’ class were invited to demonstrate the use of the RVR+ robots that were received from the Great Valley School District Education Foundation this year. The breakfast was the Foundation's yearly meeting to address donors for the Venture Grants. The ten students created four interactive stations for the adults to see the use of the robots live. Attached please find a few pictures of the event.

    Just Write a Check

    The GVMS PTO is pleased to offer the "Just Write a Check" fundraising program. This program gives parents, relatives and friends the the opportunity to donate money directly to GVMS without having to "purchase" anything. 100% of all donations are tax deductible. Please read the attached flyer for more information.

  •  Safe 2 Say Something

    Safe 2 Say Something

    Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.

  • Last Day of School is Now June 14

    To make up for the snow day on December 23 (which was a half-day for students), a day has been added to the end of the school year.

    The last student day is now June 14. Please note that both June 13 and June 14 will be half-days for students.

    If there are additional snow days this year, they will also be made up at the end of the year.

  •  Kyle Hammond

    Principal Named for 5/6 Center

    Dr. Kyle Hammond was named principal of the Great Valley School District’s new 5/6 Center at the Feb. 21 meeting of the Great Valley School Board. Currently the principal of Sugartown Elementary School, Hammond will transition into his new role this summer to allow his focus to be on planning and preparation for the new school’s opening. The 5/6 Center will open to students in the fall of 2024.

    Superintendent to Host Coffee Chats with Community

    Families and community members are invited to participate in an informal opportunity to share coffee and conversation with Superintendent Daniel Goffredo. This new engagement series, called Coffee and a Chat with the Superintendent, is designed for community members to bring any questions they may have about the district to the table, or to just come to learn about some of the things happening District-wide.
