Hello Third Grader!
I am so happy to have you in our class! It's going to be a wonderful year! We will be reading wonderful books, writing delightful stories and researching amazing topics. You will also be learning about how and why our country got started -- it's fascinating! Additionally, you will be learning cursive! (It's fun making all those loops!)
I have a bit of homework for you, (I promise there won't be that much this year!) I would like you to write a letter to me introducing yourself. I did the same homework myself that you can read by clicking this link Sample Letter. Please bring it on the first day of school.
Here are four easy steps to follow:
- Start with a greeting. (For example, Dear Mrs. Doyle, )
- On the next line tell me something about yourself. How old are you? Who is in your family? Do you have any pets?
- Skip a line. Now tell me the most important thing I should know about you, and tell me why it is important.
- End your letter with a closing and sign your name. For example: Sincerely, Billy
I can't wait to see you on Monday!
