Dear Parents:
This has been
another extraordinary year. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be
part of your child’s life. You have undoubtedly heard me share so often how
special and amazing the middle school years are. We see students enter the
middle school as children and witness their change to young adults. Then, after
what seems like a brief time, we send them off to high school. It never ceases
to amaze me how much change takes place during the three years of middle
school.
We are very
grateful for the wonderful support and encouragement we get from our community
and parents. The significance of this does not diminish as the years go on--in
fact it seems to get even stronger every year.
We feel that
a lot was accomplished this year, however, there is so much that remains to be
done. The impact of No Child Left Behind, new special education laws,
technology, and standards are all
included in our long-range goals. Please know that the first goal, the first
priority, the first reason we come to school each day and the first focus of
all we do, has been and will always be the students. It continues to be so
reassuring to witness young people who are so gifted and kind and who will grow
to be wonderful caring adults. The future is in good hands. You as parents and
family should be very proud of your children. They are a blessing.
We wish everyone
a safe and restful summer. Enjoy time with your children. Each year seems
to go by even more quickly. Take advantage of the opportunities and blessings
you have.
Sincerely,
Stephen Swymer, Ed.D.
