In October 2011, the Great Valley School District - at the direction of the Great Valley Board of School Directors - developed a Legislative Council. The Council is comprised of volunteers from our school community. The Council is chaired by the Great Valley Board of School Directors' PSBA Liaison. The Superintendent, and Director of Communications also participate in Council meetings.

The purpose of the Council is two-fold:

• To create a mechanism by which members of the Great Valley School District community can stay informed about current or pending legislation that affects school districts.
• To enable grassroots efforts in support or in opposition to pending legislation that affects public school districts.

The Legislative Council meets throughout the school year to consider pending legislation that could impact public school districts. For a list of legislation discussed at any meeting, please use the links to the left.
